OUR HISTORY

The conception of Robertson Forwarding Company came from the entrepreneurial spirits of Joan and Alvin Robertson. In July 1968, together they founded Robertson Forwarding Company (RFC) at JFK New York providing distribution services to European Fashion House Perrier Cardin, Georgio Armani, Ungaro, Valentino and other Gruppo GFT iconic brands.

In 1992 Joan an Alvin recognized a need to make a strategic change to keep RFC on the cutting edge of the global logistics field and opened RFC’s doors in Miami in the emerging port of Miami, FL.

“I witnessed the change in the economic landscape of the import/export business and the rapid development of US distribution from the South Florida area. In the 90s it became of paramount importance for a shipper to have a strong presence in the Miami area.”

(Joan Robertson)

In 1997 RFC won US Department of State’s INL contract for Colombia resulting in the launch of our Government Services Division.

RFC’s locations allow optimal service to Central/South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. We have strategically placed representatives through-out the world, to facilitate the effective and timely movement of freight to even the most complex shipping destinations. Our Global Logistics Network is one of the many benefits of working with a contemporary company with years of experience.
